A good robust auto retract hose. However, if you acciddentally extend it past the red tape nearing the end of the hose as did my 86 year old mother-in-law, you have a hell of a job to get the inertia mechanism to reactivate. It took me nearly an hour after which I nearly gave up. Once you know this however, a good hose.
