This parasol base is very nice. It is made of some sort of stone or concrete type stuff, and polished to a fine finish so that it looks like a marble or granite worktop effect.Additionally, it has hand-holds cut out of it underneath, so that it is easy to gets your hands under to lift or move it about.

Great product – looks nice and is reasonably heavy (possibly not quite as heavy as I wanted – think I thought it was 25kg whereas I see it’s 20kg) so not terribly easy to manoeuvre but I wanted a heavy base so that parasol would not blow over. It stayed put yesterday in a light breeze without toppling over like it did in previous 9kg base. I had read that no tools were required but it does require a socket wrench to put it together, which I didn’t have.

Really solid and heavy weight to hold down my tilting parasol. Delivered well packaged and pretty straight forward to put together tighten using socket wrench. The vertical tube that holds the parasol is cut quite sharp so be careful and is a little flimsy. If this was a heavier grade metal it would score more highly and the welding looks a bit questionable so time will tell if that stands up to years of use. Stone looks nice with a slight pink hue but overall happy with purchase

Good quality and very sturdy but the fixing bolt did not go in straight because the stone was not level inside. However, it did tighten up enough and does not appear wonky so hopefully will not be a problem.

Good quality product – easy to assemble with a socket spanner to tighten the stand to the base, it looks good and will no doubt last a lot longer than me! Its not easy to manoeuvre but that is what you want a heavy base.
