I have an 8 years old chow chow (25 kg), so we had a lot of bed in our past, every kind of. The most common problem with dog beds is the washing. All of our dog bed zip has broken after first wash. All of them. This one, as it has a wooden base, only the pillow needs washing and it has no zip, however it is not so thick, so it fits to my washing machine (max 7 kg load, so quiet small). So the pillow can be easily washed and to be fair if there will be any problem, it can be replaced with an other huge pillow. I bought this bed around half year ago, it is sturdy. The assembly was not easy for me, but my husband could do it in 5 minutes, it needed a bit of strength. I am satisfied with the bed, good quality and compare with other beds this looks the best.
