This specialist Ericaceous Compost has been specially blended to provide the right acidic soil conditions needed for optimum growth of Ericaceous Plants – those that are Lime hating .Specifically designed for plants like rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, heathers, magnolias, blueberries and similar. It is a general purpose compost, so use for potting on or taking cuttings. Contains 20% Forest Gold wood fibre, which reduces the amount of peat used, and opens the structure up. Also includes starter fertiliser and some slow release feed too, so no need to feed for 10-12 weeks after potting.

Bought this last summer 2020. Didn’t know what to expect as package not the same as illustrated. Anyway my two blueberry plants have thrived hence having to order more of this compost to have them both reported. Really pleased hope it’s the same stuff I ordered previously 😊

Seems to be OK compost apart from the fact that it contains a lot of what looks like dried grass bits that have not decomposed. Some are in large clods which needed breaking up. Whilst I am sure they will decompose in time they just provide a bulk to the compost at this time and no goodness. Won’t know how good compost is for several months yet as only just planted up with it.Delivery was fast and price was reasonable.

Having just moved into a house with small raised back garden with a copper acer palmatum and various azaela, they were all looking a bit under cared for so i got a bag of this and generously gave them all a surface mulch layer in the spring. Its now late summer and I’m looking at all those plants having gone bonkers and i’m going to have to do some serious shaping and control. Extremely good ericaceous compost going on what i’m witnessing. : D

I have purchased the ordinary compost from this company on more than one occasion and really happy with it so I did not hesitate to get this one. It looks different to the other ericaceous composts as it has fibre. My plants are already showing signs of improvement. It contains slow releasing food which lasts about 6 weeks.The ordinary compost I have purchase have worked wonders with my vegetables that I planted in pots. My tomato plants were so tall the posts were falling over, lots of other vegetable as wellI would recommend

This compost is very open and light once it is out of the bag. Very clean to handle only time will tell what the plants think of it, hence only 4 stars. The service was prompt and it was delivered in the bag inside a box so no problems with damage in transit.
